the quality of lecturers vary greatly, but the majority are very good. Highly practical course with lots of chances to create and work with others. Would love a chance to study abroad and/or an industry year. Also more education on the actual practicalities of getting a job out of uni.

Main issues was utter lack of jobs, especially ones hiring students. Streets also felt dangerous, especially at night as a woman.

Pretty middle ground accommodation. Did not like the single beds, and the common room was lacking, I had a big problem with the security trying as hard as they can to stop people from coming over multiple times, very inconvenient if one is in a relationship. Party’s where also not allowed, very very strange for accommodation holding first year uni students. Generally just very hostile security.

AUB is great for so many reasons, the facilities are incredible, especially as a film student I’m able to make the most of the top of the line editing suites and entire studio buildings, which is a total luxury. The teachers are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating, and have great chemistry with the students. The only thing I would say is that the location is kind of in the middle of nowhere, because despite only being 2 hours from London I wouldn’t call Bournemouth the center of the arts universe. Though this is the case, I feel like the amazing experiences make up for it. I’m only in my first year and I’ve already learned so many valuable things that will help me Pursue my future career path. AUB rules!

All of my lectures on the film course are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating, and make it known that they are there to help. The hours and workload are manageable but I definitely prefer in person classes to online sessions.
