ACM's lecture's, facilities and links to industry are what separates this university from others. Instead of sticking to a rigid standard syllabus, learning from those who are working successfully in industry means your course is shaped to current and future trends in the music industry, allowing you to be right on the pulse when you graduate - I also used them to establish a solid database of influential contacts. Regardless of what course you are on, make use of all the facilities on offer. I was a business student, but could book tutorials with performance tutors to further my guitar skills. I wish I made use of Teaching Control and the SSL Studio - a professional working studio could charge a fortune to hire out that standard of gear!

Gear is top of the range. Tonnes of practice space. Numerous studios. Good tech team - it all worked a treat!

I didn't necessarily need the support that ACM offered, but had friends that did require it and only had good words to say!

There wasn't an SU when I was a student at ACM. However, they have since opened one due to high demand - Good to hear they listened to student concerns. Now I'm a little jealous if anything!

Guildford ha a great music scene due to all the ACM music students. It's a solid stop on any bands tour as well with venues like the Boileroom. Half hour train into London too so pretty commutable.

As with the SU, ACM didn't offer halls when I was studying but did offer a comprehensive list of private landlords and estate agents. In my second year I was fortunate enough to be able to live at home to save costs, but I'm pretty sure they've now got halls with the YMCA and SCAPE, so once again, glad they're improving the student experience. Halls would have been really fun!

Since coming to ACM from Cyprus in September 2014, I have really enjoyed my time here. Its a fantastic institution with very friendly, approachable tutors and staff members. Everyone is so caring and it is all about the student experience. The lessons are awesome and the modules are so interesting and industry relevant. The facilities are amazing and mostly brand new equipment. The library facilities are great and the librarian makes it all the better. Student Union is a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. Overall LOVE IT!!!!

they are really great. I especially love the production studios we have! They are state of the art and absolutely amazing!!! The library and MIT labs all have mac computers with all the software programmes on them free for students to use!! Microphones for vocalists, guitars and drum kits everywhere for us to use...most of the equipment is brand new!!

I always feel really cared about at ACM and all the tutors are there for you if ever there is a problem. Any issues i have had with difficulty in lessons, I am always helped out as soon as i ask for help. Defiantly a lot of student support!!!

The student Union is great, we can get hot food sandwiches and great hot drinks.! The staff and members are really friendly and welcomed us in freshers week with an bang. There are lots of societies to join and fun activiteis to take part in. I especially enjoyed the Valentines Traffic light party!! Everyone at ACM is like a big family. Its brilliant

Coming from overseas, I found the city really safe and the people really friendly. Also its just a 30 min train ride from London which is amazing for gigs and concerts or even clubbing!!! Guildford is also great and has really cool night life!! I love all the Jam nights and open mic nights the uni organises as well! there is also really good bus service and prices for food and shopping are affordable.

Amazing societies especially musical theatre society!!! There are not many to choose from at the moment but the ones that are there a really cool and fun to join in with.. there even a football club which is great.

I love all the courses and the lectures. My vocal tutors are amazing and really helped me grow over the last 6 months, especially Jono Mcneil who clearly cares so much about the students. Music theory is a difficult subject but I am so happy to have Des Oliver as my lecturer because he makes the lesson fun and really breaks things down in a way that easy to understand. All the tutors are always there when you need them anytime of the day and I feel well prepared for my assessments.

There are so many available jobs for the future, and the Industry Link team are there to help students build up there CVS and set up auditions and interviews for them. Every student is priority and I feel very nurtured, cared about. I have weekly meetings with the Industry team and they have already sent me on auditions and its only my first year!!

In my first year i struggled to find accommodation but i acm helped me out and there accommodation team were really helpful. This year in September 2015, they have brand new halls of residence opening both catered and self catered just 10 minutes from the uni..they are really affordable and I can't wait to be living there next year..
