The university is so welcoming and it makes it a safe place to feel and study the only improvement I would say is that I wish that some of the clubs/societies I was thinking about joining would have to wait till next year due to me not being on campus on the same days as them.

The student support is absolutely amazing, every member of staff is so helpful and they always have such a friendly attitude. They treat you with respect and take the time to support your work or your well being to the best of their abilities. The campus is beautiful and can be a lovely place to take a break and have a walk, great for reducing stress. Thanks to the staff at UoR I have managed to get fully back on track with my work when I had to miss a full term of lessons, however they were so helpful and encouraging to the point where I now feel confident that I will pass my studies.

Most lessons are now taught in class, however all the lesson materials and information is always posted onto moodle so that every student may catch up if they missed the lesson or if they feel they need more revision and practise then all the material they need to do that is readily available. Setting up meetings with your tutor is easily done, and response times from lecturers and tutors is very fast.

Roehampton is very close to central London, meaning everything that a student might need is right on their doorstep. With multiple public transport routes as well as the free shuttle bus service provided by the university, it allows students to travel around without having to have a car or driving license. However the cost of living is rising for everybody, so this makes things more difficult.

The rooms are very spacious and have all the storage space/ utilities that you need to live on campus. The WiFi connection can be poor at times, however there is an Ethernet cable outlet in every room. Though in my personal experience I was allocated a room where the Ethernet cable outlet was broken so I was unable to use it. All electronics are PAT tested for free so that they’re safe to use in your dorm, fire alarms are also tested regularly so that they are working correctly. Location of accommodation is ideal as it’s not far from the main campus, also students get allocated to a certain college due to their field of study, meaning that accommodation may be selected based on what college you will be based in, making travelling to lessons very quick and easy.
