Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
Since being at the University and living on campus, I have received great support. The university as a whole, presents many opportunities for personal and professional development, by giving you many options for paid and voluntary work, introducing many different companies and organizations to students, organizing workshops, and providing us with many different support networks such as lecturers, student support, librarians, essay help, interview practice, and mental health days. Lecturers are passionate about what they do, and there are many unique features for different courses that allow us to develop even more, for example, my social work course, works with people with lived experience so we can understand what we can do to improve from their opinion.
The location of the university is beautiful on the waterfront, and it is close to the town centre with shops, restaurants, and a train station.
The Athena Hall student accommodation is brilliant with support, as they consider financial issues and help to improve them by giving out food, drinks, and educational supplies now and again to take the burden off of students who may be struggling, and the car park organization has made the decision to give permit holders free parking from November until March to help with financial issues, which has been a huge help.
The nightlife could be slightly improved, however, there are a few bars/clubs which are nice if you are wanting to stay local, not huge but a decent size considering it was walking distance away.
I would recommend going to this University.

The course has been great so far.
The lecturers are very supportive and the course content is extremely interesting.
One difficulty so far is that it has been very full-on in terms of being given essays - it is a lot to wrap your head around, however there is support always there if needed.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
The location is very good - close to the university, and the staff are very helpful.
They are financially supportive by consistently giving out food, drink, and educational supplies for people to take if they need them.
Highly recommend staying here.
