The university of Cumbria is a good university. It is a very supportive university. Their are several campuses. The Lancaster campus is a great campus. The lecturers always have time to see students (even when they don't necessarily have time to). I would recommend this university for those wanting to go to a city campus university but not a huge one.

Currently i am in my 3rd year (of 4) and really enjoy studying at the university of Cumbria. Lecturers are friendly and approachable. They know you by name and not a number which Is something you may not get at larger universities. The campus is fairly small but I think this is a good think as you get to know lots of familiar faces. its no secret that the accommodation is slightly out-dated now and could do with refurbishment however, you get what you pay for (which is cheaper than the prices at many unis) and you get everything you need. Toilets/ bathrooms are communal but you get used to it. Lancaster compared to many cities is relatively small but for a night out its not bad, The 2 main clubs are Sugar house and elements but there is also lots of other bars to go to like Yates, mint, Weatherspoons (which there's 2 of) and hustle, just to name a few.
