This uniersity is an ideal size in a fantastic location- more or less in the city centre. Lots of sports and societies are on offer, staff are approachable and accessible and the first year accommodation (namely St John Central and Grays Wharf) is beautiful.

Overall so far my uni experience has been outstanding. The teaching is excellent and my accomodation is one of the best the uni has on offer. We are very close to the city centre meaning we can get involved with everything York has to offer.

Holds job fairs etc. Holds seminars / lectures on employability and skills. Designs specific modules and individual lectures in modules around potential jobs and what employers are looking for.

Lecturers have indepth specialist knowledge on my course as they are all experts in their fields. The lectures and seminars are re-evaluated in a mid-module review to ensure student satisfaction.

We have an excellent students union and the staff all work especially hard to please the students. We have a new SU building for this year.

Well maintained , good 24 hour security.

We have excellent facilites including a specialist linguistics lab for english language and lingustucs students.

Nightlife in York ia outstanding. There are student nights in different areas every night of the week. City centre is buisiest on weekends as York is a tourist destination.

A lot of new societies have been formed this year. There is something for everyone.

Support is outstanding. You can book online tutorials with your tutors at any point throughout the year.
