There are lots of study spaces everywhere around the university which is so useful when I have breaks between lectures. As a commuting student, it is good to know I have somewhere to go. The lecturers are very helpful and always willing to do a 1:1 if needed, an opportunity which I have taken advantage of. To improve, I think we need more healthier food options such as healthier food stalls or more plant-based foods on offer at the shop.

I like the hours I do however it can be awkward when commuting if the lectures are later in the day. The lecturers are all useful and offer many ways to help.

Essex is great because it is student-centered and has many tools to make studying your only worry. It could be improved though by reaching out to international students earlier or in person so that we don't feel so lost when arriving.

The uni is focused on research so we don't spend much time in lectures, but the lecturers are available constantly either during their office hours or through email. Most lectures are in class, but sometimes they are blended according to the circumstances. Faculties are also a great way to study properly
