Falmouth campus is a really nice place to study, the library is comfortable, and the seminar rooms are pleasant to study in. Penryn campus is a lot larger and so has more variety- it has lovely outdoors and pretty good food and drink options with a campus cafe, bar, food hall, and shop but I have to say that the campus itself is less appealing to study in- the library is bigger but feels less focused. I often feel overwhelmed going in there, but it is open for 24 hours which is nice compared to falmouth campuses 9-5 hours. Student life(including night life) is quieter than a lot of universities but that comes with being in Cornwall town rather than a big city. That doesn’t mean that there aren't events going on though! The university holds lots of events like Christmas markets, art exhibitions, and freshers events, and falmouth town has a variety of bars, pubs, restaurants and the like that host quite a lot of events (some are significantly better than others- and never expect a night out to compare to a night out in a city). I have found that the uni offers quite a lot of support in both education and mental health. They have a 24/7 call support line and offer appointments for support every week, although you have to get in there early because the slots get filled very quickly. The student union is pretty good! They offer quite a lot of societies and do a student food bank on both campuses! The biggest draw backs i have found are the possibility of having to commute to either campus if you live in the other town (they're close to each other, walkable if you're dedicated but it can take a hit on you're time and energy), and the price of cold meals at the shops and cafés (the fresh warm meals are very well priced- £6/7 for a pizza- but sandwiches and meal deals are pricey).

My course is pretty purely in person, each lecture puts up the PowerPoints and required readings for each week, along with summaries at what we're looking at but most of the meat of the modules lies within the in person classes. It can be hard to catch up on missed content with just the online resources as a lot comes up for in-class discussions. The lectures offer 1-1 tutorials that you can sign up to, which can help with guidance and catching up.

Tuke was the second cheapest halls accommodation (above the glasney shared room), and while I think the rent was quite a hit on the account (in 2024/25 £165 per week- cheaper than some uni's but for reference a student room in Plymouth that year was £145 a week). I cant say much about the room allocation process as I moved to tuke half way into the first term (i did, however have a distaste for my flatmate- but that was personal)
