The campus, especially during the summer, is beautifully green thanks to the many trees and other foliage populating the area. It is near Uxbridge, making the town convenient to reach by bus or by foot. The Santander bikes available to rent are parked near the two main roads as well as being reliable and easy to use. The facilities are fantastic regarding the fitness needs of students, catering effectively to specialised/experienced people as well as casual gym goers trying to stay fit. My only gripe with this is that the gym is often at a high capacity, thus certain areas will be unavailable for use so planned workouts are prone to going awry. I would suggest an extension of the gym (or a second one if that is not possible) to keep up with the growing population of fitness minded students as such behaviour should be encouraged as opposed to the discouraging atmosphere of a full gym with nowhere to go. The campus feel is lively and welcoming, especially during periods when there are markets (aside from annoying paintball staff trying to talk to you). The vast options for food on campus make it possible to live fully on campus without having to leave. The main shop on campus, Costcutter, has a large disparity in price within, with some standard priced items such as Coca-Cola looking ridiculous next to a small bag of mixed nuts for £5, for students living on campus that for physical, mental or circumstantial reasons, require the use of Costcutter as their main shop, I hope they have a good sum of wealth in their bank account. However, to be financially efficient, students do not have to travel far. The nearby Lidl, whilst not always the quality choice, will often save students significant money. As for student life, there are plenty of general events as well as course-related events for students to attend or partake. The Union itself is serviceable but perhaps not for all students.

My course is, so far, entirely in-class which whilst great for interaction and a natural learning environment, is not always convenient or welcoming when life gets in the way. I do often wish certain lectures could be delivered online as they are put up afterwards but watching them back does not count for attendance. Games Design has amazing facilities in terms of both the high-end hardware and the intuitive industry standard software. I am yet to meet a lecturer I dislike, all are friendly and seem to want to help.

Kilmorey Hall’s fire alarm is set off at least three times weekly and that had not seemed to have changed, whether there is a fault with the system or students repeatedly making the same mistake, it is not acceptable, especially when the usual time is in the late hours of the night. The ensuite rooms are fine, the sink, small shower and toilet have never been an issue, the mattresses are far from great so back pain is what you usually wake up with.
