I was on a committee last year and found that it could often take a long time to get things done in relation to the SU, this could be improved my maybe having a larger team. I love the city of Plymouth its close to the sea and the people are generally friendly. The campus is stunning, my favorite building is definitely Babbage, it has a very calm feeling to it and is a great place to study, the labs are also top tear.

I have had very little contact with my tutors, I had no contact in my first year and only one meeting in my second. The placements team is very good at responding to emails and queries and my placement tutor is very helpful

Gilwell was good for the price, it is the cheapest student halls and therefore can have some downsides, I had a problem with Silverfish and with a leaking window, I was on the top floor with a sky light and often came back to my flat to find my pillow damp due to leaks. However, it was very close to campus so convenient and fulfilled the purpose needed it for

The best part of uni is part of a society where everyone is friendly and inclusive. As I study a male dominated subject I’m glad that the leaders of my degree are always trying to include the women and promote women in stem. It could only be improved by updating some of the very old buildings which the uni is already starting to do.

My course is a very interesting topic and we are always taught face to face with some of the best lecturers in each topic. I have about 14-18 hours in uni each week including in classrooms learning content, in labs where we can trial experiments we’ve been taught, or in computer rooms learning different programs that are used in industry.
