The university of Lincoln in my opinion is an up and coming modern university that often gets neglected or overshadowed by older universities. The campus is incredibly beautiful with the combination of the city centre on its doorstep next to all the student accommodations and brayford lake. The buildings are clean, modern and spacious with lots of facilities including two libraries , support hubs , student unions building , our own music and nightclub venue , two student funded pubs and hundreds of study spaces. The only improvement I would give is to update lincoln courts accommodation and provide a lot more cheaper university owned accommodations instead of building ones that no one can afford. The staff at univeristy in my opinion have been excellent with the majority of bioveterinary staff being the most supportive. The modules for my course are really well structured and engaging. Once again the only minor improvement would be to add more greenery or colour to campus as most walk space is dull grey concrete and pebbles.

All content is taught in person which is beneficial and gives you the most insight into difficult topics directly from the academic. This also gives opportunity to ask questions directly or if students need support. The course hours are perfect in my opinion that allows the work life balance as well as independent study. Lecturers are very supportive within my course and are personal with every student providing resources and meetings

Since lincoln courts are the cheapest accommodation the buildings and facilities are greatly outdated. I’ve had many issues with flooding, silverfish, plumbing and heating. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of storage space with large desks however the beds are single and very small. The kitchens are also small which makes it difficult to cook with 6 people. The en-suite is the main area that needs improvement, the wet room means the entire bathroom gets wet when showering including towel racks and toilet paper. The shower heads get limescale every couple of weeks which makes the water hard and pressure reduces overtime. It is hard to clean the floor of the bathroom too due to the material used. I have had many flushin problems with the toilet since the plumbing system is so old. You do get value for money but of course you sacrifice comfortable facilities and decoration. There are weekly fire checks as well as monthly water testing, light testing, room checks and kitchen checks which I find really valuable. Maintenance issues are sorted quickly using an online system.
