Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

My university experience has been brilliant, I have made lots of new friends, experienced living away from home for the first time which has enabled me to become more independent. My lectures are well structured in a way that I can understand and feel like I get the most out of.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

I expect by the end of my degree to have learned all the necessary information and skills to increase my chance of employability. The university has lots of different programmes that students can access.

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

The thing I like the most is that my lectures will put extra notes onto the online PowerPoint that better explain the subject area. The thing I like least is how sometimes lectures can go over slides a little to quickly.

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

Great place to socialise and connect to new housemates! Always got great events on such as fundraisers to bingo!

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

Excellent condition and if there is ever an issue the respond time is the same day.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

It is in a perfect location! It is so close to the town centre and shops. It is also a short distance from all the historic sites in the city!

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

With regard to sport, the swimming centre is in excellent condition with a wide range of times to suit all student and staff timetables. Although I am not currently involved in any societies I have heard nothing but great things! There is a wide of societies to choose from from Disney to religion etc.

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

The support is amazing, I have recently had to use the support facilities and the staff there are so friendly, kind and helpful. They Offer a range of appointments to best suit the needs of the students.
