Queens Park Campus is one of the nicer campuses and is right by the river - it is a lovely walk from campus. My course enabled me to study abroad during my third year - providing amazing opportunities for me to study in Sydney and in Seoul. My lecturers and all staff are really supportive and encouraging. I worked at the Students Union which was a really fun and vibrant place and they held many events such as Chestival.

Studying at the University of Chester has been an incredibly positive experience. The academic support, particularly within the Tourism and Hospitality Management department, is excellent. The modules are practical and forward-thinking—working on real-world projects like service blueprints and sustainability analysis for global brands has really prepared me for the industry. The campus atmosphere is welcoming, and the Students' Union does a great job of making everyone feel included."

Best Aspects: ​Industry Focus: Mention the focus on real-world application, such as the hospitality service blueprints or sustainability projects involving major companies like Unilever. ​Supportive Faculty: Highlight the access to lecturers and the Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) system, which helps with academic guidance. ​Campus Environment: If you enjoy the facilities at Queen’s Park (the Business School) or the overall community feel of the city, that's a strong "best" point. ​Worst Aspects / Areas for Improvement: ​Course Intensity: You could mention if the balance between group projects and individual assignments feels heavy at times. ​Scheduling: If you’ve found it difficult to manage the 20-hour work limit alongside a dense timetable, this is a valid point to raise. ​Blended Learning Balance: If you prefer more in-person time versus online materials (or vice-versa), suggest a better balance for future modules.

The best aspect of the Tourism and Hospitality Management course is its strong focus on practical, industry-relevant projects. I particularly valued working on service blueprints and analyzing the sustainability practices of major companies like Unilever. These assignments make the learning feel directly applicable to my future career. The lecturers are also very supportive and approachable. ​On the other hand, managing the balance between intensive group presentations and individual study can be challenging, especially when trying to fit in part-time work. I would love to see more guest lectures from local Chester hospitality leaders to further bridge the gap between the classroom and the industry.
