Amazing course

It’s a very welcoming university and doesn’t make anyone feel like they’re not appreciated or accepted. The university feels very homely and warming, the staff are lovely and feel very trustworthy and caring. Something that could be improved at the university is the laptop borrowing system, I think that you should be allowed to borrow that laptops for a longer period of time. When my laptop broke I was borrowing laptops and could only borrow them for three days in a row before you had to return it and I found myself walking back to the uni from my accommodation at 11 in the evening. I felt vulnerable and unsafe, so being able to have the laptops for longer would give people a better chance at completing all the work that needs completing.

The course is really good and timetable is scheduled well, so we have each module on an different day and it feels very organised like so. The hours I am in uni for is ok, I’m in 3 days a week for a total of 10.5 hours which is very reasonable. I get on day off and one day in placement. I’ve had one meeting with my academic tutor, this was a very good meeting, I know if I ever needed anything my tutor would be there to help. Something that could be improved on the course could be the ways of assessing us, we completed an annotated bibliography which was extremely difficult and it felt as though we had little guidance when completing it.

The value for money is ok, it’s a very cosy accommodation and does feel very homely which was important for me moving so far away from home. It’s location is great it’s a 10 minute walk from the uni, 2 minute walk from the gym, a three minute walk to Morrisons, a 5 minute walk to a collection of big shops and only a 10 minute walk into the city centre. An issue with the location is it’s surrounded by building work so it gets very noisy. Something I dislike about the halls is room allocation my flat don’t really speak and keep themselves to themselves so it does get very lonely at times.
