Through a semester of online teaching experience, the overall experience is good, each recording symposium, so for some details need to check some homework or miss a class provides a very convenient service, but on the other hand, the participation degree of the classroom is not very ideal, network connection and noise is also one of the reasons affecting the quality of teaching. Overall the experience was good.

I fell in love with Chester when I came for the open day before I joined university and since living here, I love it even more. The town is beautiful and has a good balance of student facilities with the general public. There are loads of places to study, my favourite is Seaborne library because the library on Queens Campus is a little small and doesn't have as many quiet spaces to study independently. One of the biggest highlights within my university experience is getting to know all kinds of people and sharing my love for tourism. Being able to study in a tourism based city is a massive advantage as I'm able to get a direct sense of tourism that is right on my doorstep. One of the worst aspects of my university experience is struggling to find a job that fits with my schedule and one that fits with my course. I currently don't have a student maintenance loan due to family issues so it is imperative that I work as well as study. Chester university has made me into a more confident and open person. I feel excited to learn more everyday and am comforted in the amount of helpful sources they provide such as the ASK team.

The best aspect of my course is that the powerpoints are always published online therefore, if I miss something in class I can always go back and render my mistake or misunderstanding. Speaking of misunderstanding, I always feel comfortable to talk to my lecturers during and after every lecture/seminar. My lecturers are helpful, kind and welcoming to talk to and emphasise the helpful sources that are available to us. The hours of my course are perfect. I am in uni on Monday, Thursday and Friday which gives me 2 days in the week to focus on my assignments and job. However, a negative aspect of my course is that I have a 4 hour lecture on Monday mornings which I think is the hardest part of my week. It is extremely draining and hard to then work on anything else after this lecture. The lecturer of course gives us some breaks in between, but I think a 4 hour long lecture is a bit too intense. I also don't feel like PAT's are enforces enough and believe that we should be encouraged to talk to them more and schedule more meetings within a term. It's really important to have at least one member of staff available to talk to and that you are close with at all times which I believe needs to be encouraged a lot more.

The Towpath is an independent private university accommodation. It has some great facilities and most of the staff are nice. However, I think it is extremely overpriced and my allocation of room is not the best. I currently have a ground floor room with my window facing the path to get into the building, therefore I can never have my blinds open because everyone can see into my room. My room is also allocated right next to the bin room for the whole block which is not convenient as it is always loud. The flats are lovely, however for the amount I pay I believe there should be more facilities included such as a dishwasher or a TV that works. The laundry system isn't great and there are only 5 washers for the whole of the accommodation, which don't work a lot of the time. The location of The Towpath is unique, we are settled right next to the canal and has a nice variety of wildlife.
