I have really enjoyed the start of my first year at Lancaster. The best thing is to just get involved in as many societies as you can because that’s how you meet loads of new people and you’re more likely to find people similar to you if you join a society that involves something that you enjoy. The downside to university would probably be not having as many class hours, I wish I had more class hours but I’m sure that will change in the second year. Also, the university is a little way outside of town, so the bus is the main transport - you’ll have to get used to taking the bus! But it’s all part of the experience.

I love my course so far! Really enjoying it! Again, wish there were more course hours.

Thankfully, I get on with all my flat mates in halls, so it has made my experience really enjoyable, as everyone is so lovely and we all have a good laugh. The downside to living in Pendle Halls is that I am right on the other side of campus from most of my lectures, as Pendle is on the outskirts of the centre of campus, so get used to walking everywhere!

This university is like no other with the mixture of a campus and colleges provides a perfect friendly atmosphere that makes you eager to learn and take on the many challenges and experiences available to you.
