It’s very important to look out for a school that will give safety, and peace of mind, so for me the first thing I did was look at for the geographical, safety, and cost of living of the school location in general, which is a major reason why Nottingham Trent University is a place to study and being that Nottingham is considered as one of the top student cities in United Kingdom. Second reason is the prestigious accolade the University bags, such as being named as the 4th most sustainable University in the world by the 2020 UI Green metric world University Ranking through based on the grounds that the University scored full marks in education section, on the factor of number of achievements, events, and student organization. Also known globally for its renowned researches. Finally, knowing that NTU hosts students and staff all over the countries. NTU has so many opportunities, it’s also a relaxing and comfortable environment for studying and place to meet friendly people, the Global lounge is a place you meet new people over a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. The schools is also known for social events holding which is another avenue to develop, build, socialize and interact on campus. For me I would want them to add a mandatory industrial placement module that will help student have firsthand industrial and audience market for future ideas and experience.

My course was taught with the blended learning method and it was an excellent method were we have the ability to learn both face-to-face (class room) and Online (digital platform). It gives the opportunity for me to learn on my own at a preferred pace and time. This blended learning helps to save cost of hosting a training session for the school in general, as most halls are mostly booked for each session. For me I like the flexibility and convenience that it give on how and when student can participate or present their works, which can be either through Face to face or Online whichever way that suits better and this in general make learning very effective for us student and it’s a balance way of teaching, because it makes learning less pressured. For the course hours, I like the fact that we have Monday to Friday teaching time and the weekends are used to articulate all that has been taught all through the week and also to rest a bit against the coming week. Contact with lectures in my school are the best so far as all lecturers are ready to teach you over and over, no discrimination what so ever is giving that I’m an international student and I never felt different, this to me is a plus.

The city is always bubbling and alive, which makes me for any international student like me to miss my hometown, Varieties on food and cultures in the city makes it beautiful

the facilities are really good. and the organisation of the lessons and all the online resources are amazing. i sometimes find it hard to fund materials though as I do an art course but none are provided

quite a lot is online and since covid they had to pre-recorded content but it is still being used for us even though it could be in person now. my lecturers are always contactable though

such good nightlife, great shops and exhibitions and fun things to do too. quite hard to get a part time job due to there being two unis in Nottingham

i was on the bottom floor and the design of the building meant i had no sunlight at all, maybe for an hour tops each day. but the value for money was really good although i think the price has gone up now.
