I love uni. I’m having the time of my life and I’m so glad I chose CCAD. I went to another institution before that was quite frankly a joke; so when I moved here it was so nice and reassuring to find myself in a professional work environment surrounded by nice people and supportive staff.

Very. We have 5 days a week access to everything, and all of the facilities are up to date with the latest technology etc.

The tutors take an active interest in your work, so we get constant feedback and input. Student services offer everything you could possibly need and are incredibly supportive

The tutors push you to be an individual and perfect your own style. Sometimes the feedback it a bit too much criticism and not constructive.

We are pushed to find work experience placements and we do regular live briefs

Has been an experience that always pushes me to do better, constantly learning new information and techniques whilst making new friends and enjoying the course thourally. I like the structure of the modules, scattered rather than one big assignment as it encourages you to do better and improve once given feedback from the previous module.

Extremely professional equipment, as close to or the same standard as industry standard as possible.

Tutors always walk around studios willing to give advice if needed. Tutorials provide more in depth discussion about work and what needs improving. Feedback enables you to see things you did well and things you need to improve on. Always an option for personal counselling if needed, but counselling is made even more aware around exam/deadline time due to possible increase in stress. Support is there if a student feels like they're falling behind. Are able to make an appointment with a tutor regarding the referencing aspect of essays if unsure. Are able to get your essay proof read by library for spelling and grammar. Able to get extra lessons, helping with essays if struggling with dyslexia. Option for extensions if a valid reason, giving more support.

A wide variety of oppourtunities to enter competitions, exhibit work and travel, meeting designers (PV Paris). The department (especially print) strive to ensure us students have a broad knowledge of print techniques used in the industry. 6 week course of photoshop learning the ins and outs of digital print and creating repeats. Tutors who are willing to explain and use their spare time to go over anything you're unsure about. Tutors encourage you to apply for work placements, providing time to make our creative Cv's in uni time to ensure they're professional enough. Always have ex students and guest speakers coming in to talk about their experience within the industry and how they got there. Tutors tend to have their own business or sell their own work outside uni. Tutors are honest with opinions, ensuring we produce the best possible work.
