Coming to uni in a city like Birmingham has been a different experience to me. The uni team have always been very supportive and helpful, and most of the lecturers are friendly! the campus in Perry Barr is alright, if not a bit old-school

the student's union has been absolutely fantastic, and so supportive!

Sure is a change from rural life in the middle of nowhere! love the fact i can get from A to B in a matter of minutes... "damn, missed the bus! oh well, there's another one in 5 minutes" (back at home, you're lucky if the buses showed up once an hour!)

the majority of the lessons that i have attended have been really informative and useful, as well as interesting and engaging. there have been a few that needed livening up a bit though, and some that i just plain slept through!

having just come back into lectures in my final year, the tutors have been on top of presentations, lectures and seminars all related to perfecting CVs, personal statement writing, and applying to jobs. There is even a forum on our intranet where schools looking for NQTs can share any job posts they have going with us here at the uni.

my first year digs accommodations was awesome, but you cant help getting annoyed when there are a bunch of certified lunatics sharing the same dorms house as you!

The best thing about my course is the practical lectures, not just being talked out. Assignment handing dates are close together, appropriate support available, and sociable. Nice library, and nice to have a costa on site. Accommodation is okay. Things break when they shouldn't, but when reported they are fixed quickly.
