As a city York is wonderful to study in because it's so easy to get around and so full of rich history and lovely places to spend time. The University in general are open to learning from the student experience and stand out against other universities for the support they offer to students. it can be an expensive place to study, with no student discounts available in the on campus outlets and few places offering a student price for things in the city, and high levels of competition for accomodation which makes rent costs significantly high especially for a city in the North of England

in terms of facilities because we are not on campus regularly throughout the year the rooms that we get designated for our teaching time are a bit hit and miss and can be very small and cramped. the staff work hard to provide everything we need in terms of access, but many of them are also working as teachers in schools and so often its difficult for them to be available at the times we might need. also so much of the course is jammed in to a small chunk of time which means huge amounts of information are thrown at you solidly for a month and half, making it difficult to take in properly and retain, though this is apparently par for the course with this kind of professional qualification
