So far University has been an excellent journey with a few ups and downs due to stress of the work load but has all turned out well and support is always available. Both the academic side and the social side are excellent and I’m glad I chose the university I did

The campus has nearly everything you could need such as cafes and food stalls to use. They also have a Starbucks, cash machine and student union shop selling basic necessities. The only improvement could be a mini supermarket with things such as milk and salad to avoid having to go all the way to the nearest supermarket.

I am not aware of any personal support or counselling, however this is not something I have had to look into. In regard to academic support my personal tutor is always available and we have regular catch up meetings. We also have a learning hub for assignment support alongside being able to speak to course lecturers.

There is a fantastic student union and we are all made aware of who this includes and where we can find them. They also have a students union shop however this can sometimes cost quite a bit more than in the shop so for improvement this cost could be lower and stock more necessities

Yes, the university is close to horsforth centre and a number of lovely pubs. It also has a shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes to local amenities such as the supermarket and train station. It is also only a short train journey to Leeds centre.

There are a number of different societies and sports. The majority are sports clubs however there are some other societies. There could be plenty more societies to meet all interests

We alternate between a lecture week and a workshop week. This works well however room organisation is sometimes poor but the lecturers adapt well. Some lectures are dragged out more than they need to be and have unnecessary breaks but on the whole they are good.

We are often in placement through every year of study that the university arranges for us. This is carried out alongside our academic study and building skills for future careers.

Lots of support on the primary education course.

Some of the course content is slightly repetitive and some don't feel like the best use of time. 2 hour lectures without breaks are difficult to concentrate in. However, the lecturers are well-organised and keen to support you in your studies.
