The university is split between two campus’ however, it is all compact on each campus. Headingley campus has a lot of history to it. There are plenty of activities to do on campus and there’s always support no matter which direction you look in. Everyone is friendly on the campus and everyone is approachable. The only downside to the university I would say is that specifically on my course is that it’s supposed to be full time however the time table consists on about three lessons in two days a week. Which if you are paying £9,250 for the year for a full time course you would be expecting a lot more lessons.

The best thing about the course is that everyone gets along you all support one another and the lessons of filled with information. It’s also really interactive and you are not just sat down listening to the lecturer talk. A downside is that there are not many lessons you do not do a full week worth of lessons to say it is a full time course and you also don’t get enough time with the foundation subjects which then makes you feel on placement that you do not have the knowledge to plan and teach a lesson.

The cost of living is expensive but you also pay for the convenience of been on campus. But you also have great support there’s an emailed linked with career opportunities and you placement team on the course also provide you with experiences you could take.

If you are really social then halls are perfect! I stopped in just a standard room where you have to share a bathroom and kitchen. The only issue were others within the accommodation as we made a deal to a cleaning schedule and this did not happen so when it came to inspections they were failed and if you failed it twice you would be charged £240 between you all. A really nice thing about halls is it allows you to create life long friends! It allows you to meet people who may not be on you course and allowing you to create a large friendship group. This helps you to not feel as lonely when moving away from home.
