Great uni as theres a sense of community. Theres always something going on, on Campus. The lecturers are all from industry so they have invaluable industry experience. The facilities are modern and welcoming with places to eat and study. The only negative is the price of the eateries. The Student union pub is one of the best pubs in birmingham and has a really welcoming atmosphere. The library at BCU is also stocked with a wide variety of texts. The location is perfect for commuting in apart from travelling by car as the uni has an expensive car park that doesnt provide any discount for people that study here

The course itself is well set out with good modules per semester. Some of the lecturers are clear about what it is our work is based on, others not so much. After covid all our lectures and seminars are all in person and throughout covid they have tried to involve some face to face aspects which i liked.

My uni halls was right opposite uni so was a 2 min walk. Wasnt close to any nightlife but we had the uni pub round the corner which was handy. I stayed during 2020/21 so was during covid so rules were really tight however the security guards bent the rules for certain individuals they fancied which is wrong and shouldn't have been allowed. The rooms were decent sized and had everything a student needed. I had a nice view of the canal and uni on the 4th floor. The kitchens were also a decent size (C Block). The day staff were friendly and welcoming and helped with anything that was required. On site there was outdoor seating and work spaces there was bike storage and now a music practice room. Theres also a coop on site which is easy accessible
