I love the campus and how beautiful it is, there are so many study spaces that I can pick from.

The best aspect of my course would be the content involved and the ability to pick what I want to study with the module choice The worst aspect would be the lack of contact time that my course has

The thing I liked most is the location as I was very close to campus but also to the shops surrounding in Selly Oak The thing I liked the least is that maintenance issues sometimes took a while to be sorted but this is not fault of the university as my accommodation was partner accommodation

The facilities at the University of Birmingham are very good especially for sports related degrees. The campus also is very nice and there's a really good gym that is good for student wellbeing. The location is good with easy transport links to Birmingham city centre and easy ways for students to travel home in the holidays. The student support has been very good with personal tutors replying quickly, very good wellbeing services and lots of advice about career networks and opportunities.

The course content is very engaging and often taught through a range of lectures, practicals and online content. We often have approx. 9 hours of lecturers/contact hours a week and the practicals are very good at helping to consolidate learning. The lecturers and module leads are very engaging and are always happy to help after lectures or during the lab practicals to answer questions if needed. The tutor contact time has also been very good with the personal tutor's being able to offer lots of helpful advice.

Oak Brook Park is a very nice student accommodation that if there hadn't been ongoing issues with building and maintenance would have been perfect. The location of Oak Brook Park is great right in Selly Oak and only a 5 minute walk from campus. This location has made it very easy to attend sports nights, socials is extremely close to campus and has the convenience of being located near may supermarkets including Sainsbury's, Sainsbury's local, Tesco express and Aldi. Furthermore, the room allocation was great and I have been super happy with my room which has heating, is very spacious and looks very nice. However, we have had ongoing issues with building work, builders coming into our flat without warning, a non-working fire alarm, flooding showers and lack of privacy from the builders with no compensation from Unite Students. In terms of safety, I would say the ongoing building work has not been dealt with very efficiently and has led to the area in Oak brook being largely unsafe. The property management has been really bad with no one coming to fix our drains and being told we were going to be given privacy shields for out flats from the builders but this has not happened., Furthermore there has been drilling everyday for the past 2 months.
