Chester is a small city which is easy to get around. The university staff and students are extremely welcoming and are are always willing to help. There is a great choice of societies to choose from however I wish there was an outdoors society. There are lots of shops to visit in the centre of Chester, which makes for a great shopping trip, and there are even shops on Exton Park campus- one of which is environmentally sustainable. Overall, University of Chester is a great place to study in a fabulous location. Highly recommend.

The lecturers on my course are amazing. However, there is a lot of content which means some of the lectures feel rushed. For certain modules, I would prefer for the class to be extended an extra 30 mins. Despite that, the course is great with the perfect business to Spanish ratio. I feel there is enough contact hours with lecturers and they are always willing to reply to any queries on Microsoft teams or email if there are any urgent issues that you may need to ask before or after a class.

The wide range of coffee shops and restaurants are amazing! There are also a good selection of both high street and independent shops to satisfy your shopping needs. Finally, Chester is a beautiful city, full of history with accessible transport routes to visit Liverpool, Manchester and Wales.

I think my time at Chester has been wonderful. Both the university itself and the rest of the city are wonderful to be In and I’ve had the opportunity to do so many things and achieve many goals.

Whilst the campus is small we have everything we need. Some people suggest that sports facilities could be improved but I think that we have more than enough. The library has been renovated in the last few years and has up to date facilities.

As far as I am aware support is good on a personal level and I’ve always had all the help I’ve needed with assignments and academic progress.

The SU is useful as it provides plenty of support, advise and their building has plenty of facilities which come in useful

The university is well located. Close to the town centre but just far enough to have space for plenty of accommodation and buildings. There are some central buildings and smaller ones in nearby towns but I’ve never had to use them.

Personally I haven’t used many but I’ve always enjoyed them when I have. Some people so say that sports facilities could be improved and I think there could be more societies.

The best thing about my course is how flexible it is. Over the last few years I’ve been able to tailor essays, work placements and projects to my interests.

We have lots of employability sessions as part of our course as well as a careers advise centre which offers plenty of workshops and activities.
