Everything about the university is amazing. All of the facilities are cutting edge, the location is great, and despite the many buildings the university is relatively compact, the student union is brilliant and the amount of extra curricular activities and student support available is exceptional

The course is an amazing blend of the electical engineering and audio processing pathways. The lecturers are very helpful and the workload is intense but manageable.

The internet is very fast, the facilities are kept clean by staff, everyone is very friendly and I have met a lot of new people. There are a variety of events and social facilities available on site too.

Belfast is a great place to study, folk are friendly and nightlife is generally good. For my course in particular, the facilities are great, although I haven’t got to use them much due to lockdown. Teaching is generally good. Like with other universities, don’t expect it to be like school - there can be a lot of stuff you need to figure out by yourself, but don’t be afraid to ask questions as lecturers are happy to answer them. I wish there were more student-led music activities, like student bands and the like, but this isn’t something that the uni can do much about. I know they are already taking steps to improve the course, such as taking out some less relevant modules and replacing them with more relevant ones.

Since lockdown has ended, the course is mainly taught in-person. The teaching is good and facilities are excellent, though I haven’t got to experience them much due to lockdown. Being an Engineering degree, there were some modules that I studied that may not have been very relevant to my particular subject, but the course has since been revised to include more relevant modules. The module content can often be challenging but is very interesting. Contact hours are decent, probably the same as with most UK unis.
