The University of York is a great place to study because of its exceptional support system, even during the pandemic the university still provided ample support for your study and experience. Furthermore, it has exceptional help with my studies as the advice given by the tutors, lecturers, and seminar teachers has helped my work develop and achieve the highest grades. Also, the University has invested in many reliable and frequent transport links which makes it easier and safer to travel around York. They are especially great for nights out as they provide a cheap bus service until 3am. Moreover, the university is always investing and expanding which can be seen on campus east which has had more accommodations built on it. The vibe of the campus is modern and peaceful, with many handy facilities to visit. Having said this, investment needs to be put into Campus West as many have complained that the buildings, such as Derwent College , are an eye sore and need updating.

Best aspects are the amount of one on one time you get with your teachers, the large variety of content, and the correct balance of hours in university. The worst aspect is that due to it being new there is little communication between the two departments running it, so not run fluidly.

I liked that it was slightly off campus so you got a break from being at university. It was also good value for money as it had everything included as well as a library space within the price. However, it was unlikely you got allocated within the room type you wanted, with people who share similar interests and lifestyles, and maintenance was slow.

Overall experience has been good so far, I think that there is lots of help available and the facilities on campus are good in general. I think that the students union is very good !
