The library has 5 floors, as well as a ground floor, featuring quiet areas and group discussion areas. The student union is amazing, there are study support sessions organised by actual teachers, essay writing sessions and free workshops, and there are lots of fun events every week. This stretches from karaoke and disco nights to fun charity raising events which anyone can take part in! There are also hot, generous-size portions of £2 daily meals for anyone who struggles with money, that's a great help. The campus is very green, and also has great buildings, as well as its own research laboratory building! The teachers are superb academics and very knowledgeable in their subject areas, but also other wider subjects! There is always room for improvement though, however I cannot think of anything that displeases me about Essex uni. It's really the place to thrive, and it is way ahead in the Social Science and Economics departments. Its really great.

The course is taught in-class, in a face-to-face fashion, and the lecturers always use the latest microsoft software to showcase the lecture. Lectures and seminars usually last around 50, 55 minutes max, and although it doesn't sound like much, you would appreciate it so much if you had a class in 5 minutes time on the other side of campus. But generally, classes are not spread too far apart, campus is easily accessible throughout and there are 3 different ways and easy shortcuts you can learn to get to class quicker. There is more than enough help and support from lecturers, who are by the way, always friendly and welcoming every time you come into class or send them an email. The main point of contact is indeed through email, however there is also a forum on the website page of every individual module, where you can post general questions and may do so anonymously. Teachers are very quick at replying here or by email, normally no longer than a couple hours, sometimes in 30 minutes or less. It's really, really good and I am grateful I chose Essex uni.

University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
I personally don't stay in uni accommodation as I live close to campus, however on many instances I visit friends who live in the university halls, mainly the Quays. Pronounced "Keys", not like I did first, "Quays". For about £5,000 a year you get your own ensuite room, with a very fast Internet connection, as throughout all of campus, your own bathroom, your own desk, and good size bed. The kitchen is shared, like with many other universities across the UK, and you have a microwave, oven, electric kettle, pots, pans, utensils, a table, chairs, a sofa, and a shared recreational area. Oh, and a fridge freezer! And a lot of cupboards to pack in everyone's goods. It is very spacious, amd and for the price, you get a lot! Wish I lived on campus now... It is a roughly 20 minute walk from the University main squares (inner main areas of the campus) and is right next to a bus stop. There is space to park a car, or a bicycle. It really does work very nicely.
