I love how involved well being support is and how involved people are, The staff is also amazing I feel like the one thing that could be improved is the internet connection from some buildings the internet does not work at all.

The hours of lectures are a little off and we dont get long enough break so most of end up being hungry and tired towards the end of the lecture

Going into my final year, I think the Uni has overall offered me a positive experience. As a benefit of it being a smaller university, lecturers are very keen to keep up to date with students and will prompt one on one sessions to keep in the loop with your progress. They will also often email if you don't show up to class to check in. Classes are usually quite small, and are often mixed with different courses. One negative that particularly bothered me is due to how small some classes are, second and third year module choices were at the very least for me, removed, and meant that we just got whatever modules the uni chose, rather than being given the option to choose as advertised via UCAS. Facilities are good, there's multiple group booths in the library and loads of computers for access so you can always grab one if you need it. The Bishop Otter Campus does have a smaller library than the Bognor campus but both have a great amount of resources. There is parking fees, but it's only £1.35 a day and University of Chichester buses are free. There's a huge range of different social clubs and the student union hosts a range of events, including a club every (I think) Wednesday night. However, if you're after the drinking uni experience, Chichester is very much an old person 'city' (it's just a small town) and there's only like 2 places you can go to party, one of which being a spoons. There's a variety of support for different issues with the wellbeing team, academic advisors and career advisors and there's also a large amount of gender neutral toilets which is super progressive and I can imagine helps a lot of students feel more comfortable. I think it was a good experience. For me as a quieter individual, I think I would've preferred to blend in a bit more at a larger uni and I don't think I've made any friends but I don't regret my experience here.

The first year, half our content was online, and from what I'm aware myself and other students basically ignored all online content. However after this there wasn't really a transition coming out of COVID and all content was suddenly in person. It makes it very difficult when it comes to assessments due the lack of ability to recap properly. Some teachers will just read off a PowerPoint presentation, and some are really great and helpful and actually know how to do their job. It's very much a mix of good and bad.

Due to the large population of older generations, it's not really a student location. The town centre is great for part time jobs as well as Goodwood being a good temporary option. Transport is great if you live in the centre of town but outside of that good luck. Safety I would argue is okay, but there have been a few reported incidents to the police of sexual assaults on students coming back to dorms after a night out which is concerning.
