I love my course but I found it very hard at first. Then I met some wonderful people and I just want to say thank you to my lecturers for helping me make new friends and getting the confidence. Advice.... do not GIVE UP

I appreciate that there is support open at all times for students, there’s different avenues to go down depending on what support you need. Even though it’s a large university with lots of students I fee I have connected with my lecturers well, they know me and so know them, it’s easy to engage in lectures and it’s easy to find the rooms as well. I’m not so much on the student uni life side, in terms of unions and social bars and things as I’m a mature student however, there isn’t any awkwardness about it going into the social rooms like student central or anything, everyone is friendly regardless.

I enjoy my course a lot, I engage, and understand most of the content and I enjoy going to lectures, however I’m not in uni a lot I’m only in 3 days a week for a couple of hours and for the kind of content we’re covering I feel like being in uni more would support most of us on the course. I don’t suppose you hear students saying they want to be in university more

Everything’s available 24/7, there’s always someone in reception, all the facilities are open 24/7 like the gym, pool tables, laundry all of it is always open. Reception are lovely people always helpful and kind. Every time I’ve put a ticket in for something in the apartment to be fixed, it’s done the following day, they’re always on top of those tickets. The rooms are spacious and the safety is great, multiple locked doors & the key fob to get into the actual building. I feel safe there.
