I think it has a fantastic location, with Belfast as a whole being a lovely place to live. The facilities allow for students to get the best out of their time at Queen's. The student body and staff are incredibly welcoming which makes the experience of coming to and studying at the university that much easier. I think the only things that could be improved on comes down to the university listening to the requests and suggestions given by students on what would benefit them, especially in recent years with the pandemic and cost of living crisis, there seems to be a lack in support and many students may feel they can't get the help they need.

The subject is incredibly interesting and the way it is taught to students is engaging and makes us more enthusiastic about the subject. The lecturers and tutors are always on hand to help with anything relating to work in class or assignments and you can really tell they care about the job they are doing, which is great for motivating students. The only aspects that aren't as good came from when we had blended teaching and online lectures, personally I found it difficult to connect with the work I was doing due to not being on campus and it made it difficult to complete my work to the best of my ability, which is at no fault of the teaching staff, but I'm very grateful that adaptations to the classrooms and learning has allowed in person teaching to resume in my second year of studies.

The university is in the perfect location, it's about a 15 minute walk from the city centre, but there's regular buses to and from the University Quarter to the city, but it's not a bad walk down there either. Pretty much all the buildings around the campus are owned by the university which means you feel a lot safer walking around there. The city itself is also one of the cheapest places to live in terms of the cost of living, in the UK for students and there's a great selection of amenities around the university as well.

I've stayed at these university halls for my entire time studying at Queen's so far and I absolutely love it. It's a great location right in the heart of the city, and it gave me the experience of apartment living which I had always been so excited to experience. The facilities are great and everything you could need is in a walking distance of the building if it's not already on sight. The accommodation staff are very helpful and there's maintenance and security staff on hand 24 hours a day which is such a great reassurance. It isn't the best value for money, and you definitely could find places a lot cheaper in Belfast to live, especially with the cost of living crisis and the prices of accommodation constantly going up, but all your bills are included in your rent which means there's one less thing to worry about when you're living on your own for the first time.

Is it possible to offer more courses on research methods, especially training in the use of research software?

A mix of online and offline delivery is recommended, with more workshops offered

The location of the halls is slightly away from the campus, but overall it is quite convenient. There are study rooms in the halls area which is nice, but during exams, the space becomes a bit inadequate. Everything else was fine.
