Really enjoyed it! The course is good. The accommodation could do with a little improvement, but overall my experience has been 5/5. I'd recommend to other students.

The University of Southampton, high field and avenue campuses are both incredible clean, in good locations and very modern. They are easy to navigate with rooms clearly numbered and direction postings everywhere so it's difficult to get lost. High field campus has several places to eat, drink, hang out and study with friends or just by yourself with around five on-campus eating places, including a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Hartley Library is placed perfectly along the main road of the campus with easy to use facilities, incredible staff 24/7 and IT support when things don't go right as well as a Starbucks and vending machines so you dont have to leave when you get snacky. Lecturers, student well-being and staff of all kinds at the university are incredible in their supportive nature and welcoming attitude to every student regardless of disability, mental health or any other issues you may have. Going as far as to offer financial support for those who may need it. Campus security is fast responding when needed and I have never felt unsafe while on campus grounds. The student shop is always perfectly stoked with stationary, food, home essentials and masks with self-service or cashier assistance when it's needed. Everywhere is wheelchair accessible. My only complaints are that the parking spaces/car parks can be difficult to find if you need them and the high field campus is up a very steep hill so anyone who is disabled, struggles to walk far and can't drive, it can be a pain to get to campus. However, there is disabled parking everywhere and buses that go to the top of the hill regularly so if you are able to get a bus or drive it is much easier than walking most days. I would recommend this university to ANYONE. It is incredible in all that it does and the one of the most welcoming, friendly and supportive universities to date.

Course hours over a semester is around 150 per module including reading and lecture time. Lectures are a blend of online and in-class learning but all lectures and usually seminars are available online if you happen to miss one or simply don't have the energy to go in. Lecturers will let you swap seminar classes to be with friends or if it clashes with a schedule for you. Lectures are usually just under an hour long and those are that 2 hours or more will always have breaks so you can refresh, use the toilet or get a drink. The lecturers are more than accomodating with scheduling issues or discomfort and will adjust to make your learning experience easier, you only need to ask. Contact with tutors could be better as they claim to contact you every time you get results back but this is untrue, you have to contact them. However, they usually reply within hours or at the least the same day. I haven't had a lecture or tutor that hasn't responded even when they don't know the answer to my question.

Southampton is an incredibly diverse city to live in and so so accepting in almost everywhere I've been. My only complaint would be that at night it can get a little dangerous and I would never go anywhere alone. Always take a friend.

Wessex Lane Halls was incredible for security, brilliant for placement and had easy access to town, the campus and the hospital if ever we needed it. The security staff were friendly and always around to keep the peace and make sure everyone was safe and the reception staff were amazing 24/7 at any questions or helping with things we needed. My only complaint is that maintenance often took a long time to be completed if at all. Our heating was broken for over half the year I lived there and it was freezing at night so a lot of people got sick. We also experienced a silverfish infestation in our kitchen which they refused to fix as they didn't believe us even though we had photos to back it up. We ended up keeping our food in our bedrooms.
