There are lots of great facilities. A fantastic library, many places to each and a gym/sports centre. The support from staff is amazing, there is support in terms of modules, assessments, finances, careers and just general issues. The tutors are great teachers, all really knowledgeable about their subject and always happy to help. One issue is the card/attendance monitoring. If your card doesn't work to log your attendance all you can do is inform your tutor/student rep, but if your card seems to work and then the next day you see your attendance hasn't been monitored, there is nothing you can and nobody will help you. Another issue is parking, Staff seem to have parking, yet there is nowhere for students to park if they drive. There is a car park near the Bob Burgess building and street parking down university road, however this is very expensive and unaffordable, especially if doing a long day at university and you'd think with paying such a large amount to study at university that some kind of parking would be available or you'd be able to purchase a permit etc.

Best aspects are the tutors are really knowledgeable and skilled at teaching. Tutors are easily contactable and if you aren't available during their open office hours, they are all willing to arrange a 1-to-1 meeting either in person or via teams. The careers people are fantastic, hosting weekly drop ins and sessions and being very helpful. The library is easy to navigate and has everything you could possibly need and if you don't want to use the library facilities, a lot of the material needed can be found easily on a digital reading list on Blackboard. Some tutors can be quite vague or can talk a little too fast in lectures, meaning a really difficult subject/idea can be hard to process and understand, however this is only a couple of tutors in terms of all the ones I've met over the past two years. Ive not really heard of work placements of internships available, only study abroad options, either for the summer or an academic year. Also due to striking last year, a lot of course content was skipped out and never gone back to.

The city of Leicester is very diverse and multi-cultural, I think one of the most diverse cities I have ever been to! There are lots of modes of public transport. The cost of living has rocketed everywhere so it is hard to tell, but in comparison to some major cities, it is cheaper. I have felt unsafe in Leicester at times, drunk men etc in and around the centre, however on the whole feel safe here. There is lots of part-time work, with lots of shops and stores always seeking part time staff to help.

Leicester is a great place to study and I have enjoyed my three years here very much. The facilities, especially the library are great. I love how modern they are and have everything you could need. However, at Leicester the buildings are either beautiful or frankly ugly, there is little in between. Investing into improvements into the old, tired looking buildings would help to improve the overall feel of campus.

In first year before COVID we only had 12 hours of contact time, a lot less than most other courses. We now continue to have very reduced contact hours which is a shame, however I do enjoy online lectures due to the ability to pause. The staff at the school are amazing and always pushing us to do our best and helping us wherever they can.
