It is a good life experience to come to university, and you gain friends for life here and invaluable life skills and qualifications. Not a bad thing to have on your CV either.. Enjoy first year, whilst it lasts.

I like how you are never too far from anything, everything is close by which is really helpful and the facilities that are on campus are amazing e.g gym, cost cutter etc. I don’t have much of an improvement to offer, the only thing I could suggest is having more big group events throughout the year so people have more of a chance to meet others, not just mainly in freshers. So like fundraisers maybe geared to the holidays so like a Valentine’s day fundraiser to raise money for the Heart foundation could be a good opportunity for people to get involved and meet others. But overall, a great place to study.

I don’t really have complaints about the teaching process. I would only say to make sure the time used is actually effective and worthwhile. There has been times where I have felt that I could have done without going to a lecture or seminar whether it is due to tangents or other distractions but obviously that is bound to happen so swings and roundabouts. Overall, the course is going well. For me, it is just trying to keep on a top of the work because especially when I feel like time has been wasted in person, it gives me less time to do the large amount of work set to do at home so I do often find myself falling behind and overwhelmed. But, that will also be on me to organize my time better.

I do like my halls and the friends I have met are from the halls. My only qualms are I do have quite a few broken lights and the hot water does go a lot but for the money, I really can’t complain too much. Kitchen is grand and does work as a communal area. I am not sure what else to add, everything does its job.
