Good uni

The campus is a lovely area for everyone to wander round with beautiful buildings. The student union could definitely do with some improvements to make it a more utilised space (maybe having a bar/club etc. like other unis to enhance the on campus experience). Aberdeen as a student city is great. It’s a perfect size where everything feels big enough and you bump into friends a lot which is always nice.

My course has aspects that are extremely interesting and relevant to society today. The flaw I would say is that some parts seem unrelated to criminology and sociology itself. One aspect is biological psychology (brain areas etc.) and sometimes this can feel extremely difficult and far away from what our degree is. It is also sometimes based on law but not criminal parts just a general sense of law which can be less interesting.

Halls are a great experience for any student to get to know everyone and really immerse themselves into uni life. Aberdeen halls are a little walk from campus and the park near them is not a place you can ever go in the dark. Overall I’d say halls are a great experience but not something that accessible for everyone due to their pricing sometimes
