Nottingham Trent is in the heart of the city centre, making it easy to reach wherever you decide to live while you're studying at university. You become familiar with the city itself so for shopping or a night out you're aware of where to go or new places to try. The facilities on campus are great, with a student shop to a union cafe to do work and a library with 4 floors so there's plenty of space to study. It could be improved with a larger study space at the student union.

There's not a lot to offer in terms of placements or internships for the criminology course, with the only offer being a prison officer placement - quite a brutal job, is not in the centre of Nottingham and quite far to travel to if you don't drive. The course hours are good, spread out across the working week giving you plenty of time to work in between classes. None of it is online, all classes are in person. In third year tutor contact time is once a month / 6 weeks, would probably be better for 1-1 tutor times given just to catch up and explain how the year is going.

Quite expensive for the amount of room you get, has a very clinical / classroom feeling to it which doesn't make you feel extremely comfortable eg. blue blinds, blue boards. The maintenance are great, any breakages or faults they come and fix or replace almost immediately. The building however is very old so it's freezing in winter, the windows are wooden and have mold growing. The facilities aren't great eg. shower is small with low pressure and cold water, hard to keep it hot running. There is no tumble dryer so it's difficult to dry clothes with it being cold in the building too.
