Being an international student, in which I came to the UK for the first time ever when I started University at Hope, was extremely intense. However, when I began to live on campus at Hope Park and started classes, I felt less worried about the experience and felt very welcomed into the University. Great staff, great people, amazing energy. Good facilities for students, including the 'Our Place' area and restaurant which i think is a great part to the University. The campus itself is beautiful. A little far from the centre which is a little impractical, but atleast we have the bus services. And the Criminology and Psychology departments are very helpful, genuine, and supportive of their students. And the course content and structure is very stimulating, and has inspired me to pursue a postgraduate. Overall, a great experience.

The course is extremely stimulating, and has given me the knowledge needed to qualify for a postgraduate degree in Psychology. However, the course content can be quite lengthy and heavy to digest. It does put pressure on students, as there is too much to memorise in such little time alongside other assignments we are completing such as dissertations.

I have only ever been to and lived in Liverpool, so I can not give a clear representation or an informed opinion on the living situation in regards to other places in the UK. However the overall living in Liverpool is safe and relatively well priced in comparison to my home in Gibraltar and from what I've heard about other places in the UK. The campus is too far away from the centre. I have to catch a 45 minutes bus from my home to the campus which does take a lot of time out of my day when travelling to campus and back. And there is nothing around the University that, it is surrounded by houses.

The halls provided good facilities. They had everything that was essentially needed. However, I believe security was not as efficient given that many students would smoke in halls and outside the halls which was still prohibited, and I would have a cigarette stench come into my room as people smoked below it (I was on the bottom floor). The rest of the facilities and location were adequate. And prices were decent.

I love my uni experience so far, the campus is unbelievable and the location is perfect. I’ve met the student support team and i feel very safe and secure on campus.

My lecturers are very skilled and specialise in specific topics throughout the course. The content is a little bit hard to understand but with the guidance of my lecturers i’ve been understanding it slowly.

My halls are very nice and right by all of the buildings i need to get to for my lectures.
