It's a beautiful campus and iget a very homely vibe from being here. Everyone is very friendly. People in lectures need to stop talking quietly over tutors because when it's loads of people it's really loud and other students are struggling to hear and understand what is being said. However overall edge hill has a great atmosphere and is a great place to study for a degree.

Course lessons are great but when people (students)are whispering it's really annoying and disrespectful.

Loads of things to do, can never be bored

Good location - only 35 mins by train to Liverpool city centre. Facilities are quite new and have a great look and feel. I’ve found that uni communication is a hit and miss - sometimes they communicate things very well, other times they may not even communicate at all or take a a few days to get back to you. E.g. you don’t find out about events happening on campus until it’s already over or it’s the day of because it may not be that well advertised.

The course is taught completely in-person and modules are fairly well-attended. The course hours are quite manageable - only on campus 2 days per week with a 2 hour lecture and 1 hour seminar on each day. The most time-consuming aspect is all the reading you should do to prepare for your seminars, it can be a drain but it’s definitely worth at least skim-reading the articles etc. and answering the questions the seminar tutors set about the reading because they are highly likely to come in useful when it comes to doing your coursework. The staff all very knowledgeable in their fields of research, which is helpful when it comes to beginning to write your dissertation in 3rd year (like I am now) - they allocate you a dissertation supervisor at the end of 2nd-year, which is great if you want to get a head-start with your dissertation. It’s quite easy to contact the lecturers, they’re always available via email, however they might take a couple of days to respond depending on their availability/hours of work.
