The department is really academically supportive, with great lecturers and staff - they make a real effort to get to know and support the students in the department. There is room for improvement in the wellbeing aspect of university and department support. The staff seemed quite cold and not particularly understanding of well being needs, especially mental health - it felt like my feelings were belittled.

All teaching is in person unless a lecturer is ill and can’t make it into class. Course hours is around 9 per week. There is opportunity and encouragement to speak to lecturers before and after lectures, as well as in office hours or any other meetings. There is full choice of modules in second and third years.

The rooms are ensuite with double beds, however things always seemed to be breaking. I would say value for money is ok as it’s the cheaper of the double bed, ensuite options, however it is still expensive for what you get. The quality of furniture is poor, eg very very little storage space compared to a lot of uni rooms, including no shelves (uni students are supposed to read so this seems poor planning!). Also the shape/layout of the kitchens is pretty antisocial. Overall ok.

I feel that my experience here although I haven't been here long has been fantastic so far. The lectures are good despite missing many I have been able to catch up with their facilities. The nightlife here is second to none but if you're annoyed easily the accent may not be for you.
