Absolutely stunning campus, especially Kings College. The facilities are great, the academic faculty are of an incredibly high calibre, and the programme has been thoroughly enjoyable.

The PhD is entirely made up of the dissertation, and for this reason depends on your supervisor. The fact that Aberdeen require two supervisors at doctoral level is very helpful (assuming you choose your supervisors well!) and should, in my view, be standard practice everywhere.

The rooms were very comfortable. Well situated, not far from where I needed to be, but also involved a beautifully scenic walk to and from campus.

Students are encouraged and inspired by excellent tutors who bring fresh and lively approaches to research, learning, supervision, and development. Distance learning students receive excellent support and are made to feel very much part of university life. The university is at the forefront of research and staff actively pursue, and encourage students to pursue, new and exciting methodologies and opportunities for engagement.

Supervisors are supportive, encouraging, and alert to the development and wellbeing of their students, both in terms of academics and beyond.
