I feel like kings is a great place to study as it’s facilitates for all students needs in terms of the opportunities available and the range of social events available. Therefore, it allows for students to be able to fit into the university in a way that feels comfortable and suited to each individual. However, ways in which I believe it could be improved from my personal experience would be an increase in reassurance for students, like myself, struggling financially and suffering from anxiety from a lack of clarity when it comes to finance and booking accommodation, especially edging closer to second year.

I really enjoy my course and now I’m settled in and understand the way the system works life is much less stressful. The work can be intense but I think it’s sufficient if your time management is good and it teaches you how to balance social and work life with more independent work but also support when needed. However, personally I haven’t had much contact with my lecturers or tutors, something I’d like to improve, as this way I feel I’d be more settled and confident going into exams and essays.

I’m under the KAAS and therefore was in a non refurb room when I first moved it, luckily I was upgraded after Christmas due to refurbishments and was still able to pay the same price using the KAAS due to the inconvenience. The refurb rooms are different class, down to the kitchen, the room space and layout, overall made me so much more productive. However, the downside would be the lack of clarity as to next year’s accommodation and rebooking through KAAS. The uncertainty for second year accommodation is a big worry.
