The experience gained through my degree is invaluable the opportunity to work with 16 – 18-year-old athletes delivering workshops on sport psychology skills gave an insight to apply the knowledge learnt from the Psychological Skills module to talented athletes. The one-to-one attention provided by all lecturers is second to none, always willing to make time for the students and support you through not only your university life but also personal life. This support network was also further expanded across the year groups, created through the staff putting on socials (Summer sports games, Christmas meal and quiz, Pizza night) open for all year groups on the course to attend which has been a fantastic way to build relationships and share experiences with other students in the up-and-coming years. In addition, the lecturers are always keen to hear feedback from students to keep the course, modules, assessment types, tasks and opportunities provided etc up to date to cater for and meet all the needs of the students. I can’t fault the experience I received during my three years of study here at the University of Winchester and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to study for a degree in Sport psychology.
