Uni at derby is amazing! I have only been here around 3 months but am loving every second! The facilities here are brilliant!

My course is so interesting, I have already learnt so much. My writing skills have improved massively since joining Derby University.

The Uni’s location is very central to derby, although the parking for me has been an issue at times. Walking through the park near Derby uni at night has been worrying for me.

It is such an inclusive university, with a great support system.

The lectures don't have a large amount of office hours or an actual office so it is difficult to locate them if you have a matter to discuss in person. The mixed use of lectures and seminars and of group and independent work is great so there is something for everyone. However, it is sometimes hard to understand the accents of some lecturers but that is to be expected at every university.

It is pretty expensive considering it is for students, however, there are tons of events and opportunities to meet new people, e.g., an alton towers trip. However, even though the staff are lovely, I have had a problem with my window which I requested to be fixed over a month ago and was told someone would be called in to fix it, yet nothing has been done so far. Also, it can get quite loud around 11pm-2am at nights .
