NTU is a fantastic place to study, offering a perfect balance between academic excellence and vibrant student life. The teaching is engaging and practical, with passionate lecturers who support you to reach your potential. Facilities are modern and inspiring, and there’s a strong focus on employability through placements and hands-on learning. The campus community is friendly, diverse, and full of opportunities to get involved in societies and events. Living in Nottingham adds to the experience — it’s a lively, student-friendly city with a lot of things to do. While NTU is an excellent university overall, there are a few areas where it could improve. Some students feel that certain courses could offer more consistent feedback and clearer instructions about assessments. Accommodation, while social and lively, can be expensive compared to other universities, and more affordable options would help. Additionally, expanding mental health and academic support services during busy exam periods would benefit students. Overall, NTU is a great place to study, but small improvements in organisation and support could make it even better.

The Psychology course at NTU is taught through a great mix of in-class lectures, seminars, and practical workshops, with some online resources to support independent learning. The balance between theory and hands-on experience keeps things engaging and relevant. Course hours are well-structured, giving enough time for both study and personal life. Lecturers are approachable, supportive, and genuinely passionate about their subjects — they’re always happy to answer questions or give extra help when needed. Communication is generally clear, and online materials make it easy to review content. However, response times from professors could improve. Overall, the teaching style is interactive, flexible, and student-focused with some minor adjustments needed.

The halls can be too expensive for what they have to offer. You get to live the student experience and meet new people but at what cost? A lot of times, I felt unsafe and my privacy was violated by random workers or staff who were entering my room without my permission at random hours of the day. If I could go back, I would definatly do more research on different accomodations around the city, and read the reviews thoroughly.
