The best aspect of my uni experience has been the facilities that I’ve had access to. I can’t think of anything negative to say.

The best aspect of the course is the content. The worst aspect of the course is the teaching (but only for some teachers), some of the teachers don’t really engage with the class.

I like the location of the building. I don’t like that when you report issues it usually does not get fixed unless it’s an emergency.

As an academic institution Anglia is really good, - way better than I expected, but the admin is appalling. The academic staff are largely motivated and fascinated by their topic. What lets the whole thing down is the completely unresponsive administration behind it. On an academic front staff are available to meet every time I have needed them and within a short time frame. There is a real sense that they care about their work and that you get the best of it. Contacting admin is farcical. One day in the first term I rang the student help line over a 150 times and never got through. I have rung on countless other occasions and was only connected once. Every email comes with a 5 working days disclaimer - why? And you would be very lucky if you hear back within 5 working days. ARU needs a massive bureaucratic shake up and somebody needs to be held accountable for unresponsive admin. I have heard of too many occasions where the only way to get any response is to go to an academic teacher and ask them to intercede for you to get some kind of response. That is just a waste of their time and talent.

Very full course taught on the most part by people who are thoroughly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their area.
