The location and the facilities are great, easy to access and use. Clear instructions to get around and while it may take a while to get used to. After that it is easy to use.

However, for my instance especially during my master’s. Lecturers and getting help from said teachers is nearly impossible, it seems that they do not care about us and leave everything to the last second and expect us to be okay with it. Especially during my dissertation, my supposed supervisor did next to nothing to help me and gave no support, especially since I asked for an extension and expressed a concern because of external circumstances. I was lead to believe they are meant to check up and check in with your progress and to see if you need support, like I had during my undergraduate. However this time, it was radio silence from my supervisor. And the student union was the best support system in getting backing and help. My supervisor did not clearly care and left everything to the last second especially with my presentation and it definitely made it seem like it was my fault and it was a inconvenience that I couldn’t do a day he at last minute suggested. Some better and clearer instructions on how supervisors are meant to help would of been better and more compassion and empathy from lecturers who are supposed to supervisors would be appreciated especially for younger students who are struggling and new to this.

It was convenient and close to the university, easy to access, door lock and safety are average. It’s cheap and easy to use and live for a first year experience

I'm a travelling student and there doesn't seem to be much support for that. Majority (at least 90%) of events, especially by the students union, are on campus and some can run until quite late, and that is too unattainable for me. Otherwise, my PDT is the best, I work a lot of jobs with the Temp agency which allows me to double my income, especially as they pay an impressive wage of £12/hour. It's also very flexible around my studies and other commitments. Support from the disability and employability teams are amazing. I also love that I can visit and use the facilities and the campus that is closer to home (I can't study there as they don't do my course on that campus).

My PDT has been amazing support for me, but the time that my group gets with them drops quite a lot in second year. The lectures are good but there's personal circumstances that make sitting in a lecture hall of 500+ students. It also means that there is slightly less support from the lecturer because there is so many students. Seminars are good, main lecturer content is repeated but in a different way and they are also a chance to ask more questions on the content. Uploading of lecture slides on time can sometimes not happen, although they are still uploaded before the lecture. I don't deal with placement on my course so I cannot comment on this. Some teaching styles of lecturers just don't click, but that's to be expected.
