I would recommend my course, I have had a brilliant time on it. The lecturers are really helpful - in general, although they let PHD students take the seminars in first year for history and mark the work, which can get some awful feedback but I think they've stopped that now (2011 i started university here). THe politics department is really great in general, with the head of the department being great. History has a few really good lecturers which I hope don't leave before I graduate. Facilities are great, now the student union has reopened this is great for new students. Societies, Not a great selection for a big university to be honest, and the ones which are there other than the sports and the science subject ones are not brilliantly run in general with a major lack of interest and a few meetings and socials at th ebegining of term they fade into background noise at the university. The student elections, i have been through 4 now, and nothing really ever changes. Pick here for the subject, pick here for the awesome city, pick here for awesome oppertunities. I work whilst being at university including for this website, I have visited over 30 universities, and I can say honestly we have great facilities, our student union is very lacking compared to more rural universities, but this is because we are in a main city. I am from London and am mainly friends with scousers and local students as I find the general student population very snobby here ... i.e. not good enough for oxbridge so are slumming it here. Which isn't a bad thing, It is just a culture shock for me.

Liverpool is a wonderful city for a student to study in, it has fantastic student areas both to live and study in, the university itself has a beautiful campus, with several high quality teaching departments. The university of Liverpool offers great teaching and does have an excellent student Union, however the universities support system is average in terms of Covid support and student well fair, as such it can be said that the student support system is not up to standard with the rest of the university campus and departments. Despite this, the university of Liverpool is a wonderful institution and it’s a wonderful place to study
