This is the first year of a new physiotherapy programme, and the uni has a brand new health and wellbeing suite. The facilities are therefore fantastic and the teaching staff are incredibly enthusiastic and engaging. Although I do not live in student accommodation, I am very close to the university which is in a fabulous waterfront location. There are free fitness classes for students which is great, though there could be more. As a mature student I like to see people around the university who look like me.

There is lots of emphasis on group work and imaginative learning. We have started hands on practice in student groups really early which is great for a physio course. Voluntary taster days at local physio workplaces happened within the first month, helping to really contextualise what we are learning right from the start. The course is taught in a block learning format which I find very appealing as you are learning one topic at a time and then get assessed at the end of the block. This helps with focussing time and effort i find.

The facilities are amazing and brand new so really good to learn in. The SU has a shop which is really handy and is always a nice place to sit in between lectures.

The facilities and teaching are the best, there’s a lot of interactive work to do and we get to spend a lot of time with our lecturers who always help us.

I feel very safe staying in the halls and my room is very clean and homely. However the rooms are usually very cold in the winter.
