Bolton is a quite place, and the university is situated right in the middle of the town, there is plenty to do and you are one train ride away from Manchester, Liverpool and Preston so it's well connected. The students Union is always doing things to engage students and there is also freebies most weeks from pens to useful trolley keys and plants to grow and use in your cooking. The main building however is not the best as it is located inside an old mill. This means there are beams running down from the ceiling in most classrooms. They have tried to get around this by placing screens across the front of the rooms so you can always see what the lecturers and presenting but the view of the actual lecturer is often obscured, making this building feel like your sitting in a restricted view seat goodison park!

With my course being a medical based degree there is no online components and everything is in person which is great! There is also hours of hands on practical and most sessions have two lecturers giving plenty of contract time.
