I love the university - it’s in a scenic city and there’s always something for the students to get involved with and the staff in my school (the School of Biomedical Sciences) are always willing to help and support you. Sometimes study areas can get very crowded during the day, so it’s difficult to find a quiet place to learn, but the university is expanding and creating more spaces, so this should be resolved. Other than that, it’s a great uni.

Clinical Physiology is a great course since it allows for a large amount of contact time with the lecturers. The course size is relatively small, so seminars are very interactive and allows for any topics to be explained again if required. The course also allows for a lot of freedom regarding choosing topics for essays and presentations that don’t necessarily have to be cardiac related, and allowing students to go up to the hospital in their free time just to familiarise themselves with the environment without being assessed from early on in year 1. Sometimes it seems like the content we learn is a bit irrelevant to the course, for example in year 1 when we had to learn with the Biomedical Science students about microscopes and pathogens, and had to be in the lab, but from year 2, the content has been very specific.

in general very good. student feedback are always acted upon to enhance student experience and learning. lots of student support available. only drawback is when you have lecturers leaving to join work somewhere else - this leaves a bit of gap, though new lecturers will take over the pattern that one gets used to is disturbed. in my experience that has been a negative. hence 4 stars instead of 5.
